Why tiles fail, and how we prevent it
Hollow-sounding tiles, cracked corners and stained grout lines nearly always trace back to preparation, not the tile. Switch between the two build-ups to see the difference.

Our process

We test levels and moisture, and repair or level the screed before a single tile is laid.

Bathrooms, balconies and terraces receive a flexible cementitious membrane first.

Cement and sand is not suitable for large porcelain tiles. We use Mapei adhesives selected for the tile size and location.

Adhesive is applied to achieve full contact under the tile, so there are no voids to crack later.

Levelling clips and consistent joints give a flat, even floor.

Cementitious or epoxy grout, movement joints sealed, and the floor protected until handover.

Large-format tiles
A 1600 mm porcelain slab has more than three and a half times the area of a 600 mm tile, and it shows every high spot in the floor beneath it. That is why large formats need a level screed, the right adhesive and full bedding, not more cement. Read more on large-format tiles for luxury villas.

The rate depends on tile size, the pattern, the condition of the floor and whether waterproofing or levelling is needed. Send us the area and tile size, or book a site visit, and we will give you a written quotation.
