Paints & Textures · Sri Lanka
No single paint works everywhere. A tin that performs beautifully on an air-conditioned living room wall will fail within two years on a facade facing Colombo's UV load and monsoon humidity. This hub groups our paints, textures and coatings by the problem each one solves — so you can start from the surface rather than the colour chart.

Start with the surface
Most paint decisions here are made the wrong way round. A colour is chosen first, a contractor is asked to paint, and six months later the south-facing wall is streaked with algae or the top-floor bedroom is still unbearable at four in the afternoon. Choosing well starts with asking what a specific surface actually has to survive.
The climate does most of the deciding. Records from the Department of Meteorology show Colombo takes over 2,000 mm of rain a year across two monsoon periods, alongside near-equatorial UV. Therefore a coating specified for a temperate market is often the wrong tool here, whatever its data sheet says.
Indoors, the questions change entirely. Air quality, washability and humidity matter far more than UV, and volatile organic compounds become a genuine consideration in sealed, air-conditioned rooms. As a result the right interior specification looks nothing like the right exterior one.
The five groups below sort our range by the problem rather than the product name. Each links to a full guide covering the system, where it is applied, and how it compares to the cheaper alternative it is usually weighed against.
Getting this sequence wrong is expensive in two directions. Under-specify and you repaint far sooner than planned, paying the scaffolding and labour twice. Over-specify and you buy chemical resistance a bedroom wall will never use. Neither mistake is visible on handover day, which is exactly why both keep happening.
Access cost is the factor most budgets underestimate. On a multi-storey facade the paint is rarely the largest line — scaffolding, gondola hire and programme time usually are. Therefore a system that lasts three times longer changes the arithmetic far more than its price per litre suggests.
Substrate condition decides more outcomes than product choice does. Hollow render, a chalking old film or a damp slab will defeat any coating applied over them. As a result our surveys often start with what needs repairing rather than what needs painting.
Before specifying anything, we establish four things:
Anatomy of a building
One building rarely needs one paint. This cross-section maps the eight surfaces we are asked about most in Colombo — from the roof slab down to the car park floor — and links each to the system built for it.
From our shelves
Every system on this page is backed by stock we hold and apply — these are live from our paints & textures catalogue.

Exterior & weather
Street elevations, boundary walls and roof slabs take Colombo's UV load, driving rain and airborne dust. These systems are specified for weather first and appearance second.
Interior & air quality
Inside, the priority shifts from weather to odour, washability and humidity. These are the systems we specify for homes, bedrooms and offices across the Western Province.
Hygiene & healthcare
Hospitals, clinics, kitchens and childcare centres are audited on surface hygiene rather than appearance. Standard washable emulsion breaks down under that cleaning frequency.
Industrial & protective
Warehouses, car parks, workshops and polluted frontages need chemical and abrasion resistance that a standard emulsion simply cannot deliver.
Decorative & premium
Lobbies, reception areas and feature walls call for texture and depth rather than flat colour — at a fraction of the weight and risk of real stone cladding.
Also in the range
Beyond the headline systems, our catalogue covers decorative textures, enamels and functional coatings for specific surfaces across Colombo.
At a glance
The quickest way to narrow a specification: find the surface, check what it has to resist, and open the guide. Every system below is supplied and applied by our own teams across Colombo.

How we work
Most projects are quoted on a per-square-foot supply-and-application basis covering surface preparation, priming and the full coat system. That matters because application quality decides whether a premium product actually performs — under-applied film thickness is the most common reason paint fails early in Sri Lanka.
We work with homeowners in Colombo's suburbs, condominium management corporations, facility managers and main contractors. Our painting service covers application end to end, and surface preparation covers repair and levelling where a substrate needs it first.
Access is planned into the programme rather than added later. For multi-storey elevations we arrange gondola access at quotation stage, so clients see the true installed cost from the outset instead of a low material rate followed by an access bill.
Weather shapes the programme too. Exterior systems need dry windows to cure between coats, so we schedule elevations around Colombo's monsoon pattern rather than forcing a start date. However, interior and hygiene work continues year-round, which lets a mixed programme keep moving through the wet months.
Where we work
We supply and apply across Colombo and the surrounding suburbs — Rajagiriya, Nugegoda, Battaramulla, Nawala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia and Kotte — plus commercial and institutional work in Colombo 02, 03, 05 and 07.
Because our showroom and stores sit on Buthgamuwa Road in Rajagiriya, surveys and sample approvals across Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte are quick to arrange. Having supplied the Western Province since 2022, we can usually tell from a survey whether a wall needs a coating or a repair — and we say so before quoting. See our completed projects.
Quick answers
No, and we will say so. A sheltered residential wall rarely justifies a two-pack enamel, and a low-traffic store room does not need an epoxy floor. The premium belongs where exposure genuinely demands it.
Preparation and film thickness, far more often than the product. A premium topcoat over chalking render or applied too thin will fail regardless of its data sheet, which is why we quote preparation honestly upfront.
Yes. Exterior, interior, hygiene areas and floors can be specified together and phased around occupancy, so one team coordinates the sequence rather than several trades working against each other.
“They specified four different systems across one building — exterior, stairwells, the clinic wing and the car park — and explained why each differed. One contractor, one programme, no arguments between trades.”
