A canopy is the first thing a visitor walks under and the first surface the monsoon tests. C&S Projects designs, supplies and installs canopies built from exterior-grade high-pressure laminate (HPL) panels, a material made for full outdoor exposure, so the entrance keeps its colour and shape long after painted steel or timber would need attention.

The material
Our canopy panels are duromer high-pressure laminates tested to EN 438-6, type EDF, the classification for panels intended for severe outdoor use. The top layer is a double-hardened acrylic polyurethane resin, which is what makes the panel weather resistant rather than simply water repellent.
That distinction matters in a climate that alternates between hard tropical sun and weeks of monsoon rain. A coating that only repels water eventually lets it in at an edge or a scratch; a panel that is weather resistant through its surface and core simply carries on. The panel does not absorb water, swell or delaminate in heavy rain or coastal humidity.
The surface resists UV fading, which matters on a west-facing entrance in Colombo sun.
No repainting or re-varnishing. A wash with water and mild detergent is enough.
Solid colours, wood grains and stone looks, CNC-cut to almost any outline.

Larger sheets mean fewer joints across the soffit. We plan the cutting layout at design stage so joint lines fall where they look intentional.
