If you are comparing HPL board prices in Sri Lanka, the honest answer is that the rate depends on what the board is for. An exterior façade panel, a balcony floor panel and an interior partition board are different products with different thicknesses and different installation work. This guide sets out how C&S Projects prices each one, what is included and what moves the price up or down.

By application
Every rate is per square foot, for supply and installation by C&S Projects. The same 6 mm exterior board covers most vertical work, so those applications share a starting point; overhead and walk-on uses need more from the panel and the structure beneath it.

Price levers
Six things move a quote. Some only push it up; quantity is the one that brings the rate per square foot down.
6 mm is standard for vertical cladding. Floors use 16, 18 or 20 mm panels, which cost more.
Solid colours are the most economical. Wood grains, metallics and special finishes sit higher.
Aluminium or galvanised steel, concealed or visible fixing.
CNC patterns, perforations and curves add fabrication time.
Plan to the sheet
Exterior boards are supplied in 4100 × 1300 mm (5.33 m²) and 2800 × 1300 mm (3.64 m²) sheets. Floor panels are also available in 4100 × 1854 mm and 2050 × 1854 mm. Choosing a layout that suits these sizes is the simplest way to bring the cost per square foot down, and we plan this for you at the drawing stage.

Raw sheet count before cutting allowance. We plan the layout to the sheet at drawing stage, which is where most savings come from.

Most clients choose supply and installation, because the performance of an HPL façade depends on the ventilated sub-frame and the fixing detail as much as the board itself. If you have your own contractor, ask us for a supply-only quotation.

Cost over the life of the building
HPL usually costs more per square foot than basic aluminium composite panel (ACP) at the outset. It is a solid compact panel rather than a thin skin over a core, so it resists dents, does not delaminate and needs no repainting, which lowers the cost over the life of the building.

Restroom cubicles, wall partitions, worktops and laboratory tabletops vary widely in hardware and fabrication, so a flat rate would mislead. Send us the drawing and we price the job as it is.
Upper floors may need scaffolding or a gondola.
